Ghost of Bea Arthur haunting remaining Golden Girls
Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009
The ghost of Bea Arthur has been haunting her former Golden Girls cast mates according to friends and family of Betty White and Rue McClanahan. Ms. Arthur died on April 25 2009 at the age of 86, but seemingly has yet to leave this world, as her spirit has been seen numerous times at the homes of both Ms. White and Ms. McClanahan. “It’s been terrifying for Betty,” says a friend of Ms. White. “Bea’s ghost has been tormenting her since the day she died.” Witnesses say that Ms. Arthur will sneak up behind Ms. White and has been heard to say such things as “BOO!” and “I’m coming to get you Betty!” Things for Ms. McClanahan have been almost more terrifying, as Ms. Arthur’s ghost has been seen rumaging for cheesecake in her kitchen, as well as heard singing show tunes at all hours of the night. “Bea never liked Rue,” says a friend of Ms. McClanahan. “She seems to be really enjoying keeping her up at night.” The actresses say they are looking into an exorcism or some sort of ghost buster to try to get Ms. Arthur’s ghost to move on, but are not confident that it will work. “Bea does what she wants to do. She’ll move on when SHE has had enough fun,” says a rep for Ms. White.

That’s funny because I’ve always heard that Bea Arthur never liked Betty White, but did like Rue McClanahan
